Cyclical Nature of Leaves Final Iteration

Image
This is my final iteration of this project. I redid the vase and changed the background to be a lot more fantasy-like. I played around with this one a lot more than I did previous iterations and projects, and I do enjoy the way it turned out, but I am worried that It doesn't get my point across as much as I hoped.

Progress II: A Background?

Image
This is my first attempt at a background. I like the juxtaposition of the man made bricks against the natural-ness of the bouquet. I added the spinning filter to draw focus to the vase/"flowers" and also to give the sense of the leaf cycle. I think the vase needs to be anchored on something and also the bouquet could still be filled out a little bit. I am also thinking about the concept of using the vase to represent "Earth" and might add some kind of grassy texture to it to signify that.

Progress 1

This is the culmination of my first attempt at this project. My concept is to combine different stages of the changing leaves and combine them into a bouquet. I am not sure what to include in the background yet, so I have been focusing on the bouquet for now. I still need to balance the other side of the bouquet, so I think tomorrow I will take some new pictures and complete this aspect of the project. It also still needs some cleaning up and fixing. I like my concept, but I am still struggling with the software and getting my image to where it needs to be.

Cyclical Nature Contact Sheet

For my project, I want to combine the cyclical nature of the different stages of leaves in Autumn. This is a perfect project to do in Boone, because the leaves are so beautiful right now. My concept is to combine some different branches into a bouquet, like a bouquet of flowers.
