A New Iteration

 

This is the first iteration I have done so far that I was happier with the outcome. I feel like I am finally starting to understand the controls and how to work Photoshop. While this image obviously isn't perfect I think I am starting to get more comfortable with the program and the project. I really like the background and the foreground exclusively but I don't think they work very well together. I think the background is a little distracting to the foreground. I am happy that I am getting better at this, though!

  This is my final iteration of this project. I redid the vase and changed the background to be a lot more fantasy-like. I played around with this one a lot more than I did previous iterations and projects, and I do enjoy the way it turned out, but I am worried that It doesn't get my point across as much as I hoped.

Progress 1 - Narrative

  This is my first progress shots at the Narrative project. I have just been having fun with my concept which is very fantastical. The story is about a scuba diver on another planet that finds pirate ducks fighting over treasure in the bottom of the pool. I really hope I am understanding this project and doing it right, because I am actually really liking how this is coming out. It is still a little rough in some places, but it moves from the top image to the bottom. My main problem right now is that the first image is a lot more landscape oriented, while the bottom is the opposite, and I would like for them to be both the same orientation.

Destroy the Icon Image

  This is the iconic image I will be using for the Destroy the Icon Project. It is an image of surrealist artist, Salvador Dali. I think there are many directions I can go with this image and would like to reference some of his iconic paintings within my project.
