Final Images & Conclusion to the Narrative


 


    These are my final images for the Visual Sequential Narrative project. In the end, the astronaut/diver discovered the pirate ducks' haul of bread, but as they shared the plunder with him, he discovered the real treasure - friendship. Aw. 

I added a matt around the outside of the images and I hope to print them out so they can be viewed as somewhat of a triptych. I enjoyed working on this piece and I am happy with the way they turned out. I finally feel like I have a handle on the Adobe Photoshop software, though I could still work on it some more.

  This is my final iteration of this project. I redid the vase and changed the background to be a lot more fantasy-like. I played around with this one a lot more than I did previous iterations and projects, and I do enjoy the way it turned out, but I am worried that It doesn't get my point across as much as I hoped.

Progress 1 - Narrative

  This is my first progress shots at the Narrative project. I have just been having fun with my concept which is very fantastical. The story is about a scuba diver on another planet that finds pirate ducks fighting over treasure in the bottom of the pool. I really hope I am understanding this project and doing it right, because I am actually really liking how this is coming out. It is still a little rough in some places, but it moves from the top image to the bottom. My main problem right now is that the first image is a lot more landscape oriented, while the bottom is the opposite, and I would like for them to be both the same orientation.

Destroy the Icon Image

  This is the iconic image I will be using for the Destroy the Icon Project. It is an image of surrealist artist, Salvador Dali. I think there are many directions I can go with this image and would like to reference some of his iconic paintings within my project.
