Progress II

 


This is my second progress picture. I have only really worked on the second image since my last post. I added in some light coming from the top of the pool and some shadows. I still have more to add and refine, and I think I need to work on some of the shadows to make sure they make sense with the light source.

    I love the content of the first picture! the ideas all combine to make a beautifully colored, wonderfully surreal picture! The second photo provides a hilarious contrast. If you wanted to add a third photo, I would suggest doing a prequel to the pool photo. Maybe have the astronaunt in the land rover, driving towards the pool with sunscreen and a towel in his car? -Lane

Progress 1 - Narrative

  This is my first progress shots at the Narrative project. I have just been having fun with my concept which is very fantastical. The story is about a scuba diver on another planet that finds pirate ducks fighting over treasure in the bottom of the pool. I really hope I am understanding this project and doing it right, because I am actually really liking how this is coming out. It is still a little rough in some places, but it moves from the top image to the bottom. My main problem right now is that the first image is a lot more landscape oriented, while the bottom is the opposite, and I would like for them to be both the same orientation.

Destroy the Icon Image

  This is the iconic image I will be using for the Destroy the Icon Project. It is an image of surrealist artist, Salvador Dali. I think there are many directions I can go with this image and would like to reference some of his iconic paintings within my project.
